Preface

This agreement describes the strategy of how Focus of current version gets, stores and shares data. A user must agree this agreement or he/she can no longer use Focus.

When Focus adapts, this agreement may adapts as well. The new agreement will be pronounced along with the new version of Focus to the user.

What data Focus gets?

  • Focus uses system service to check if the user is busy with his/her computer.
  • The busy information gets from the system is filtered. Focus only gets the user's keyboard click times, mouse movement times, and mouse key click times. Focus doesn't know which key of the keyboard is clicked. So the user's input data is secure.
  • Focus saves a user's IAP subscription to Keychain.

Why Focus gets those data?

  • Focus uses the busy information to remind the user to stand, avoid of the side effects of long time sitting.
  • Subscription information is saved for check if the user if subscripted.

How Focus stores those data?

  • Focus deals those data locally and doesn't store them.

Does Focus share data with third party?

  • Focus uses RevenueCat to deal with IAP. RevenueCat has its own Privacy Policy.
  • Focus shares no data with other third party.

Others

For fixing errors that an app may exist, Apple automatically collects and sending data to the Apple server when the app crashes. Apple shares the crashing data to the app’s developer. The function is designed for improving the user experience and can be disabled in the system setting.
